A quick goodbye...

I can’t believe it’s September 6th already, but it is, and I’m leaving for Kenya today. Many thanks to everyone who has made this volunteering trip possible for me, namely the generous residents of Whitby, Ontario, Canampak Computers, Veena’s, Frame by Design, and The Royal Cleaners. Also many thanks to Darlene and Roy Owen and the Salvation Army for donating so many wonderful books. A special thanks is also in order for Doug Hutchison for his generosity.

The total raised to date is $5883.65, an amazing amount, especially for two months worth of fundraising. If you would like to help any further, you may always make a donation at my website (www.angelfire.com/in4/kenya). Also, if you’re a resident of Whitby, keep your eyes open for fundraising chocolates which will be sold in stores such as the Salvation Army.

I will try to keep this journal as up-to-date as possible, but please bear with me, especially with the first entry, as I’m not quite sure when I will be able to access the internet.
